Welcome to Year 2!

Year 2 have loved learning all about the seaside this term. We learnt all about what the seaside looks like for us now, but also what the seaside was like a couple of hundred years ago. We really enjoyed experimenting with different items to see if they would float or sink, as well as looking at shells and sorting them based on their size, texture and colours.

We loved adding water to the sand in the sand tray to see if that would make a difference when we were making sandcastles and using ice cream moulds. Ice cream was also a popular order at our seaside shop, in our role-play corner.

Another highlight has been learning how to log on to Seesaw using our class QR codes and drawing some beautiful seaside pictures using the ‘draw’ feature.
